I just got my proof copy for the Season One trade paperback today, I flipped through it to make sure everything looked good before telling the printers to print the rest of the books I need. After that I gave the book to Karen to read (she'd only read the first 2 individual issues so far).
When she got near the end of the book this little surprise was waiting for her. Keeping this a secret for the past couple of weeks was anything but easy. I wanted to tell her and I was also afraid she'd find out about it on her own (either see the original drawing, or the pre-proof mock-up that I printed up, or the version of this on my computer that we're sharing, etc.). The smile on her face when she saw it still brightens my day when I think about it. So I figured now it was time to upload it here too (especially since it's been like 3 months since I submitted anything  )And yeah, I know it says "148" at the bottom, it's a typo I can live with  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. On a side note her nose is crooked and I have no idea what you're ear is doing.
Those were a couple of made up criticisms I put in so that this comment at least seems real instead of just being shameless praise.
Had I actually critiqued this work, you'd be on the floor in the fetal position humming three blind mice to yourself.
